Hubby's New Coat
Mrs. Joyful, dissatisfied with her husband's appearance, buys him a new coat. Hubby wanders forth proud. A tramp visits the house and asks for work. Mrs. Joyful gives him her husband's old coat for sweeping off the sidewalk, unaware that it contains her husband's pocketbook. When the goods that hubby buys arrive C.O.D., he is unable to pay for them. There is gloom in the household. Later, Mrs. Joyful receives a letter enclosing the amount of money contained in the coat she gave away, stating that it was sufficient to give the tramp a new start in life.
