Robert is a college student who doesn't want his parents to know that he's gotten married. Unfortunately, his wife and newborn child die and Robert finds himself being blackmailed by his wife's sister--with whom he had previously had an affair--and who now claims that he is the father of her daughter, Rosalind. Robert gives in and pays her off. Ten years later, however, when Robert is about to marry again, the sister decides to show up at the wedding and publicly humiliate and embarrass Robert.
