The film actor Lagard, a popular detective on the screen swaps the movie game for reality and acts as a detective to get a colleague back a stolen pearl necklace. He investigates the gang of thieves, knits the gang leader's mistress, gets involved in a wrestling match with the criminals and has them arrested.
