Warren Miller, a former ski instructor and veteran lecturer on the sport of skiing, narrates this documentary. Both champion and beginning skiers are shown on the slopes of Squaw Valley, California; Vail and Aspen, Colorado; Mount Snow, Vermont; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Val d'Isère and Courchevel, France; Itkul, Russia; Planica, Yugoslavia; the Tasman Glacier in New Zealand; and Mount Zoa, Japan. Coverage of competitive events, such as ski jumping, features well-known international skiers.
