Masterpiece Mystery

A weekly public television program presenting British produced mystery dramas to American audiences. Each program was a dramatization of a well-known mystery novel, with many programs continuing over several weeks. Agatha Christie's Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot were the most commonly featured sleuths, but a wide variety of other authors' works were also shown.
