1984 in East Germany: Juergen and Vera Faerber spend their holiday with their children Martha and Mischa in Ostharz forests. When they play hide and seek one day, Mischa vanishes. Even the police can't find a trace of him. After a few days the authorities demand from the Faerbers to declare their son dead. But the parents won't give up yet.
