Bapu whose well known Shehnai player and plays only at holy events he does not believe in playing at dance events an earning money once he and his brother Baban saves life of Tamasha dancer Radha an both fall in love .Bapu and Radha get married while a pregnant Radha meets with an accident and passes away after giving birth to a daughter.Years pass by and Bapu has alone taken care of his daughter Sandhya whose now of a marriageable age she falls in love with Arun Velankar son of a well known industrialist Raosaheb Velankar .Raosaheb Velankar opposes their marriage due to profession of Bapu and Radha being a Tamasha dancer he agrees on a condition that Sandhya has to break all ties from him and that Bapu should not attend his marriage.
