Joe McDoakes stands to inherit $100,000 if he can prove he has a make heir. He adopts a tough kid named Stinky. When the check arrives, it is made out to Stinky, so Joe tries to change his name and cash the check. Par for his usual course, this action does not work out for poor Joe.
