Wheels of Fire

Directed by Douglas Kent Hall. Wheels of Fire focuses on the lives of five major drag racers of the era: Don Garlits, Don Prudhomme, Shirley Muldowney, Richard Tharp and Billy Meyer. They are followed thru a complete top fuel drag race season by the film crew. The ups and downs of each team, and the personalities of all involved drivers are shown in great detail. A thrill ride that is also very informative. A great look back at drag racing in the 1970s. This hour long movie was produced by Texas race promoter Buddy Boren.
