The suave, debonair private investigator known as The Cat agrees to be the bodyguard for Ed Solvent, the wildly successful TV host whose icy demeanor graces his 'really big shew' every Sunday night on the P.D.Q. network. But even with The Cat on the job, Solvent ends up being kidnapped. The resulting trail leads The Cat to an evil rival TV network called I.O.U.
