The Sea Was Waiting

A handsome sailor returns to his native island after a long absence while his boat is being repaired. His reappearance attracts the attention of the island's women, from gossiping widows to, particularly, one young woman, frantically looking for a husband, and another woman, waiting for her long lost husband who disappeared at sea, who reluctantly falls in love with the returned sailor.
