Waterproof Willie
A ludicrous and most original fancy, perfectly and realistically carried out. The troubles of Willie, with whom personal cleanliness amounts to a passion, are faithfully depicted. He yearns to perform a full toilet, but the water necessary to this purpose always fails him. It pours into the basin, streams even from the ceiling, flows in rivers, gathers in ponds and is ejected from a garden hose, but not for Willie! He remains totally unaffected except by comic despair, and the fun is communicated to the audience.
