In this 30-minute remake of Universal's 1938 "Outlaw Express" and filled from front to back with footage edited from that film, Tex Williams (Tex Williams) is a United States Army officer in 1860s California who is ordered to investigate a series of mysterious killing of Pony Express riders. With his buddies, Smokey (Smokey Rogers) and Deuce (Deuce Spriggins), they get jobs with the Pony Express, and soon discover that the killings were mail robberies by a gang scheming to forge Spanish Land Grants, and take over the rancheros.
