Peg and Moll are sisters, living with their father in a cabin on the hillside. Steve, a neighbor loves Peg, who does not love him. A stranger comes to town and puts up at the hotel. He is a gambler and a daredevil. Meeting Peg by the brook, he kisses her and is slapped for his pains.
