Kavach-bound Karna is abandoned by his unwed mother, Kunti, and set afloat on the Holy River Ganga. He is rescued by a charioteer, Adhiratha, and adopted by him and his wife, Radha. He grows up and obtains training as a warrior, befriends Rajkumar Dhuryodhan, and joins forces with him to battle against Kunti's other sons: Yudhister, Arjun, Bhim, Nakul, and Sahdev.
