Radhika is cute as a button in this movie. She wears simple cottons sarees to show her middle class status . She is working in a company and is a dutiful daughter . Her family friend Pratap Pothen silently yearns for her . He is a writer and often comes to her house to read out his poems and stories out to her .But she is not aware of this . His room mate Suman is a play boy and wishes to marry rich , has many girl friends on the side and has commitment issues. He one day bets Pratap that he will make Radhika fall in love with him in exactly 10 days . Pratao does not believe it as he feels Radhika too likes him .Suman uses all tactics to make her fall for him ( like winning over her grand father's heart ) paralelly pursuing other girls. Slowly Radhika starts noticing him and indeed falls for him and also agrees to marriage without telling her parents. They decide to meet at the registrar's office and Suman brings Pratap to show her as the proof of his conquest .That leaves Pratap depressed and he accepts defeat . Radhika realises that she has been cheated by Suman . Now its her turn to take revenge instead of weeping quietly . This is a rare step for a tamil movie some 3 decades back when good girls were only supposed to cry and pine .When Suman gets engaged to a rich girl, Radhika does not leave him in peace and starts pursuing him slowly . Pratap is a silent standing spectator to this drama .We get to see old fashions like high waisted bell bottom pants and wavy hair on men . Janagraj has a small role as Suman's friend .
