Valentim had his father murdered after finding profitable gold mines, leaving only a map to their location as inheritance. In order to marry his beloved Cecília, daughter of a wealthy colonial farmer, Valentim must recover his father's mines. But Dom Fernão, his rival, isn't willing to let him get there earlier.
