Footage of black life aboard a Sunday pleasure cruise set to song
Photographed in part on the Alexander Hamilton showing charted outings by Harlem church congregations. The Hamilton departs the Harlem pier and heads up river. Scenes on the boat include people dancing in the ballroom, lounging on the decks, jumping rope, eating hot dogs, and just having fun. The boat passes by other vessels on the river before docking at Bear Mountain to let passengers off to enjoy nature.
