Bernice Claire is in a show that is closing and Eugene Sigaloff, her forgetful manager who ties strings around his fingers to remember things, gets her a job in a revue. But he can't remember the significance of the last string, and she is mad about it. He finally remembers that it was to remind him they had gotten married.
