This movie was made by raising money door to door by Italians living in LA, actually is the 1st Italian talking movie. I'd like to know where Mr. MacIntyre had the opportunity to see this movie since it's decades I'm trying to find it and no film archive in the world virtually owns a print of it. Enrico Armetta was a movie character actor who appeared in at least 150 films, starting in silents as early as 1915 to a movie released in 1946, after his death. In 1938 he played in "Everybody Sing" with Judy Garland, Allan Jones, and Fanny Brice. In 1941, he was hilarious as the father of an Italian family shopping for beds in The Big Store with the Marx Brothers and Tony Martin. He appeared in at least 24 films in 1934 alone, sometimes uncredited. Alberto Rabagliati became later the lead singer of the Lecuona Cuban Boys.
