Through words, music and dance, this episode of the "Great Composers" series explores the fascinating life of French composer and pianist Maurice Ravel, an artist credited with helping to usher in Impressionism. Using Ravel's String Quartet in F Major (performed by the string ensemble Quatuor Arthur-Leblanc), the program tells his story by alternating extended music and dance sequences with traditional documentary vignettes.
