Il-cheong, a Taiwanese worker in Korea, falls in love and marries Myeong-ju. Upon learning that his mother has died, Il-cheong travels back to Taiwan. There he learns that it was all a lie created by his parents to get him away from his foreign bride and back home where he can marry a local girl. When her husband doesn't return on the expected day and she receives no word from him, Myeong-ju decides to go to Taiwan to find him.
