Great Arias: L'Elisir d'Amore

The two dazzling stars of Gaetano Donizetti's brilliant comedy "L'elisir d'amore" Angela Gheorghiu and Roberto Alanga discuss their roles, the music and perform an aria, Adina's "Quanto amore!" and Nemorino's "Una furtiva lagrima" from the opera. Stage Director Frank Dunlop's witty production set in the 1920's is a beguiling mixture of sharp comedy and heartfelt pathos. The Orchestre de L'Opéra National de Lyon is conducted superbly by Maestro Evelino Pidó.
