The Line at Hogan's
Hogan and McNabb are rivals for the hand of the Widow O'Shaughnessy, but Hogan is the favored suitor and the day of the wedding is set. However, a clothesline in Hogan's yard aids fate in conspiring against Mrs. O'Shaughnessy becoming Mrs. Hogan. At first Hogan curses the line, but later he is made to realize that it was a blessing in disguise.
