Kang-il and Hyeon-ho both love Nam-hie, but Kang-il decides he does not wish to damage his friendship with Hyeon-ho so he withdraws from the rivalry. When Hyeon-ho kills a man who was attempting to rape Nam-hie, Kang-il informs his friend that he is prepared to take the blame.
