A character introduces himself as Ramiro Ortega, middle aged, a Spanish speaker in Los Angeles whose wife of 35 years, Maria, has recently left him. He decides to visit his father, initially in anger, but on the drive, he recalls a family trip to the New Jersey shore when he was a boy: his dad flew a kite with him. He gets to his father's house: will his dad remember the kite? He wants to tell his wife the story too. We want to connect.
