Forgetting Aphrodite

Katie, sixteen years old, joins her estranged aunt Sonia and family on vacation on the island of Cypus. Happily, Sonia treats Katie like a best friend exposing her to exotic seafood, wine and grown-up venues. However, Katie spies something exotic on her own, Antonis, a beautiful local. Fantasies of him invade her waking thoughts and dreams. Visions of her aunt and uncle as a loving couple with their young son exaggerate these desires. Until one night, Sonia takes Katie dancing and shades of lost paradise are revealed. When Sonia unexpectedly introduces Antonis, Katie believes this to be her aunt's blessing.
