In a small Iranian village, the people live at the mercy of one of the leaders; a man who believes that all men are sinners and deserve the wrath of God ? wrath that he himself administers on behalf of God. The short film looks at this man and gives us a brief debate with him ? although its conclusion is firm about what it thinks of the man and his opinions. The delivery is slow but interesting although it does take its time to get going early on.Development wise it could have been better, as really it is a bit of a (excuse the pun) blunt tool ? it should have been sharper and more incisive but then I suppose I am unfamiliar with Iranian culture so perhaps this was more meaningful to other viewers, because I didn't get all of it. The acting is good enough for the piece and the stark black and white direction is very attractive. Overall, a good short film that is worth seeing if you have an interest in Iranian film (which I do this week thanks to a mini season of films) but otherwise it may not do a great deal for you.
