Lois Marrero was a police officer in Tampa, Florida who was killed on the job. Although she was out and had a will leaving everything to her partner, her partner has been denied death benefits under Lois's police plan. This film looks at their relationship and the way that these legal entanglements just served to make the situation even more painful.
