Seth recently lost his sister in an accident and has moved to Los Angeles. He and his best friend, Hannah, are trying to movie on when he meets Rebekah, a mysterious girl into witchcraft. As Seth and Rebekah get involved Hannah becomes suspicious of her intentions and confronts her about her methods of helping Seth cope with his grief. She discovers Rebekah might be involved with the Thief of Souls, a demon who steals people's souls. She becomes afraid and warns Seth about Rebekah. Hannah and Seth finally give in to Rebekah and try to help her. Still suspicious, Hannah warns Seth, but to no avail. She discovers something quite awful in the morning.
