M. Verpillot, confident that his pupils are well behaved, leaves school for the afternoon. Bébert, the bad kid, takes charge and takes all the kids out of school. They turn the neighborhood upside down and return to school as if nothing had happened. M. Verpillot does not believe the neighbor's complaints until one brings him Bébert's ripped underwear.
