The story begins as the mother of the family has recently passed away. The father is trying to make life go on as usual. His two sons Jacob and the older retarded Martin are very close, and Jacob is Martin's big idol. Jacob has a problem with the father's way to handle the death of his mother and they often argue about this matter. One evening the father's anger goes out over Jacob's relationship with his girlfriend Patricia which has a terrible consequence the following day... But Miracles do happen.
