Tommy Turnpike is the most dedicated public access children's entertainer in the greater New Jersey area. After the brutal murders of his fellow television hosts, he must figure out whether the longstanding truce between the New York City entertainers has been broken or whether a new player has been exterminating the competition. In the end he finds the killer to be the most cunning of adversaries: a nine year old girl.
