On April 25, 2004, people from all over the country gathered for a united cause, to support a woman's right to choose. The largest march in US history and the most under-publicized, The March for Women's Lives rallied 1.15 million women and men for the pro-choice cause. The march wound through the historic streets of Washington, D.C. and was met with vocal supporters and detractors. Filmed on a vintage set of stocks and shot with a Bolex 16mm hand-crank camera, Band of Sisters captures energy reminiscent of the 1960's protest era.
