At their father's (Robert Welch) bedside, a woman (Anique Léger) and her brother (Carol Beaudry), with distinctive personal motives, are torn at the idea of losing a loved one. In spite of a stranger's (Rick Bramucci) incredible offer, only the grandson (Alexandre Albert) will have enough faith to dare take the wager.
