Si Jenks and Bob Carney go to one of those colleges where there are no classes -- although there is one befuddled, elderly professor who shows up for thirty seconds -- but there is lots of dancing, ukulele-playing, upper class men tormenting freshmen, and competition over Sally Starr, who seems to be the only student less than 30 years old.This seems to have been the popular view of college life until after the Second World War; if so, there's lots of reason to make fun of it, but it's done so blithely that it lacks any bite. The fellow sing "What A Day" and a nonsense song, which, I suppose, is the point of this short.
