Maura Peterson is an anti-war activist whose latest documentary is losing its airtime because it's perceived as too biased. With just one day to find an "opposing viewpoint" to save her project, Maura sets up an interview with her estranged son, Lt. Troy Wilson, a new Marine officer about to deploy to Iraq. But in trying to save her documentary, Maura risks losing what remains of their relationship with Troy.
