François and Isa have been living side by side for years. François strums fruitlessly on his piano and makes half-hearted attempts to build a wall cabinet. He is equally clumsy in his relationship with Isa: his attempts to get closer to her come to nothing. Desperate, François thinks his wife has a lover and wants to leave him.
