In a desolate and rural Midwestern farmstead, the strange young daughter of a struggling couple, Sarah, discovers an eerie homeless man living in the cellar. Unaware of his presence the couple goes about their lives as the man lurks about their home. As his fondness grows for Sarah, the old man's jealousy towards her parents swells out of control. Until one day it finally hurdles beyond control into disastrous and horrifying results. Proving that some lives are better left alone.
