Marcel, a young boy, finds a human toe on the beach in 1960s France. His mother and father find it repulsive and want him to throw it away. Marcel refuses and the nasty parents attempt to steal the toe from their son. Their attempts are thwarted, however, as the toe's rightful owner comes looking for reprisal and his appendage.
