The film opens seeing a young woman pursued by a creature through the woods at night. She tries desperately to escape to her vehicle and is thwarted, a struggle ensues and then ... "CUT". The camera pulls back to reveal a film within in a film scenario and we then follow the main character Freddy as he leaves the set and arrives home. He removes his stage make-up and is confronted by his wife who reveals the twist in the story.
