In the aftermath of a battle between British and German troops, Private Miles finds an orphaned baby on the battlefield. Collecting and protecting the child he must get back to HQ, making his way through enemy-infested territory. A reluctant surrogate father, Miles, ultimately is faced with a horrendous dilemma: he must choose between his own life and that of the infants.
