Locked in cages, chained to bells, an animal paces back and forth restlessly. But as it strives to transcend its conditions, its energy transforms into mesmerizing sound and movement. "karan koron" is a Japanese onomatopoeia. It refers to the resonating sounds of bells ringing, footsteps of wooden clogs... The music-like soundtrack of this work is derived from the sound of cow-bells which I recorded and then processed.
