Pale Horse is the story of Sam, a low-level government worker in an agency tasked with bringing about the Rapture by testing the quality of people's souls. When he falls in love with Mary, a diner waitress whose soul he's been sent to harvest, the two go on the run with the agency's thugs at their heels.
