Of Sand And Gold

Astarte, Goddess of Love, lives with her children in a small house on top of Mount Lebanon. One day, a flock of cars arrives at the house carrying people escaping a terrifying sandstorm called the Khamseen. A repeating cycle of doom, their only hope of breaking it is a long forgotten secret hidden in plain sight. 'Of Sand & Gold' weaves together a timeless myth with real interviews with Syrian, Iraqi, and Palestinian refugees living in Lebanon today, alongside displaced Lebanese families.
