When 18-year-old Vietnamese-Australian KIM falls pregnant, her mother CHAU attempts to rush her into marriage to save face. But with KIM's boyfriend absent, she turns to her own father, steel forgery worker TUAN for advice. Too tired or busy to listen, KIM is entirely alone in making the decision on whether to keep her baby.
