ALANTOWN is a fledgling regional commune that's quickly labeled a cult when their leader, ALAN PEPPER - claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus. But Alan isn't your typical, religious, authoritarian figurehead. He doesn't look like "The Second Coming" nor does he behave like Christ reborn. Their isolated existence and slow and steady "word of mouth" approach to announcing Alan's return as Jesus has allowed him and his disciples to fly under the radar, but overnight, everything changes. If you're going to claim you're The Second Coming expect retribution and judgment from skeptics in the outside world. This sends the once peaceful 'Alanians' into a spin, forcing Alan and his disciples to defend their existence and "come out" before they're ready.
