In the future, a despairing scientist, Alvis, is determined to build a robot of his dead fiancé, Jeane. Flashbacks reveal that in the past, Alvis was a workaholic who didn't care about his family, but Jeane could melt his heart. Jeane's death led Alvis down a dark path, with his ruthless behavior toward his family progressing as time goes by. The moment Alvis is at the final stage of completing his robot, his sister, Amila, breaks into his house and accuses him of not being there when their mom passed away. She is shocked to discover that he has been secretly building the robot of Jeane. Robot Jeane comes to life, but only to be "killed" once again - this time by Amila.
