A school counselor is on the phone to a colleague relating a serious incident that morning with an eight-year-old boy, Jeremy Westin. Jeremy's mother arrives and the counselor hangs up in order to talk to her. She relates the morning's incident to Mrs. Westin, piling detail on shocking detail and then delivers the conclusion, confirmed by a battery of tests. What can Mrs. Westin do? Just then, Jeremy calls to his mother as he stands outside the counselor's office door. Mrs. Westin must decide.
