An old immigrant from the republic of Georgia, Kakhi, embarks on his latest adventure. He accepts the challenge of a wealthy businessman to fly a hot air balloon from New York to Alaska as part of an advertising campaign for the "Russian Alaska" brand of vodka. Kakhi invites his young Ukrainian friend Andriy to fly with him. When the balloon is inflamed and ready to fly- an unexpected twist of fate changes their lives forever.
